4-Benzyloxyphenol
4-Benzyloxyphenol is a colorless solid classified as hydroquinone monobenzyl ether. which is soluble in alcohol, benzene and ether, and almost insoluble in water. It is a decolorizing agent, and the molecular mechanism of its action may be related to tyrosinase. It was synthesized under microwave irradiation with hydroquinone, sodium hydroxide and benzyl chloride as raw materials and N, n-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent.
